Most news providers mostly start small with papers then move on to bigger things like online and TV as they would get a wider audience viewing their content. Pros and Cons of having one company delivering the news via different methods
Pros:
-Accessing media is easier and can almost be done at any time with phones. -News can be way more direct on the target audience and have multiple things for different people. -Independent news providers such as citizen journalists can share their stories and news easily and put there own style with it. -Conglomerate companies pay people and their subsidiaries for providing news. |
Cons:
-The same news can be seen on different platforms just presented in a different form. -News that is presented on (Papers, Radio, and TV) are never “breaking news” as it takes time to gather enough information to post an article of a show about it so the news is mostly a day to a week old. -Subsidiaries can be limited to what they can say as the company ( or a designated amount of people) is saying what can and cannot be shown in the new. -News can be bias as one company is producing it. |
