P2: Create a proposal and client documentation to support the pitch
Cover examples
Cover_template Final Version by damian golik on Scribd
I created the cover examples using powerpoint I gathered Images I thought would relate to the theme of GG magazine so technology and gaming then I arranged them in a appealing fashion so that they standout. The way that the examples of the covers will help when pitching my idea to my client is by allowing them to see possible visuals for the cover as well as seeing how the logo looks on paper. I think this is necessary because without it the client would be left in the dark when it comes to the production of a good looking cover as well as they would not know if the title would stand out among other popular titles.
My cover examples appeal to the brief as it has the feel of an independent publication as it different from conventional magazines but it still takes things from the conventional magazines. My example also would appeal to the target audience of 18-30 because of its unique design that is minimalistic. One thing that I could improve is make the text more consistent and include features that would appeal to the Instagram and YouTube generation so a QR code or something along those lines.

Page spread examples
I created the page spread cover examples also using powerpoint as I thought it would be the ideal program to make my spreads in because of all the customisation features it possesses, I collected images I considered appropriate looking at the conventional images used in magazines then I found text relating to those topics and I copied and pasted it. I think that the spreads will be necessary when pitching my idea to my client as it shows that there are enough stories to fill a magazine as well as shows the ideas I have for how I want to layout GG magazine. I think this is another crucial step in pitching a successful idea as without it I would not be able to back up the fact that there are lots of different possibilities when it comes to writing unique stories based on technology and gaming.
My spread example appeals to the brief because it contains content that the YouTube and Instagram generation would want to consume while presenting it in a interesting way, that would give the feel of a independent publication which is what the brief asked for, it’s worded in a way that 18-30 year old members of the target audience would easily understand.

Proposal Version by on Scribd
I created my proposal using powerpoint like with the previous two tasks as PowerPoint has all the necessary tools that I required to create a effective proposal. I used a previous version of my proposal and improved it so it answers all possible questions, I also includes visual aid to the text so that it's more interesting. I think a proposal is a important part of pre-production as it shows to the person that commissioned you the ideas you came up with.
My proposal appeals to the brief because I showed considerations for different parts of the brief such as the target audiences, Bauer media, content and more this is necessary as that is what has been asked for in the brief for when I will pitch it to Bauer media it has to have all this information for it to be convincing and them wanting to hire/buy this idea to continue producing.

P3: Create a pitch to communicate an idea to the client
This is the pitch I created to communicate my idea to the client, I have made in a way that it would not look to cluttered and it was visually appealing.
I only include the key details on it that I could possibly refer to if at any point I was stuck, I also tried to incorporate visual aid as it will allow my client to envision what I am saying more clearly, resulting in them being persuaded into seeing that I have done all the necessary research for this new magazine.

We were tasked as a class to research presentation techniques and best methods of presenting your ideas to an audience in a clear and concise manner.
Strengths:
This is a good presentation when it comes to the vocal communication and the body language but something that could be worked on is structure and presentation tools such as a visual aid as that way you can show imagery which is worth more than words. The was eye contact with the audience but it was broken sometimes which could be interpreted as a lack of things to say.
- Verbal communication was good loud and clear
- Good use of body language and uses gestures
- Puts what’s being talked about into practice
- Use of facial expressions
- Eye contact with audience
- Seems a bit improvised
- Eye contact is broken and looking to the sides
- No visual aid

Conclusion
The presentation was good but not all members of the group used correct body language and gestures at the correct time.
The presentation was clear and concise in combination with the visual aid seemed quite professional, the was an attempt at using body language some successful and some not. Eye contact was mostly held with the audience with some instances of looking at visual aid to confirm what had to be said.

M2 Identify potential client questions and amend pitch and proposal documentation.
Possible client questions:
- How is your product going to appeal to your target audience?
- How will your magazine give an independent feel to it?
- How will you incorporate social media into your magazine
My amended pitch
Answers and amendments to pitch:
I will make my pitch more engaging and interesting by including more imagery throughout my pitch this will allow the people who I will be presenting my pitch to visualise what I am saying, which is better than having just plain text, this is also conventional for professional pitches that I have seen in the past. I will remember all the detail that I will need for my presentation by creating cue cards that will help me remind me of the key points of my presentation, that way I can remind myself any specific details such as correct measurements for GG magazine or the specific team members I want to include. My magazine will give an independent feel to it because of the careful design of my covers and my spread that gives of a fun and lighthearted tone to it by adding lots of colour and imagery. I will incorporate social media through my cover pages as well as my spreads by including the @GGMagazine at the front of the magazine as well as a few QR codes in the spreads for extra content.
